The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget for Tuesday, April 22, 2026, beginning at 6:00 PM.
The hearing will be held in the BOC Meeting Room, Building A, 1130 Bluffs Parkway, Canton, GA 30114. Remote participation is available via the county's Zoom webinar link, published at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.
The proposed budget totals $312.7 million and includes funding for three new Sheriff's deputy positions, capital improvements to Fire Station 2 in Ball Ground, and the first year of the Etowah River Greenway trail extension. The full budget document is available for review at the Finance Department and on the county website.
Residents wishing to comment must sign up by 5:45 PM on the day of the hearing. Written comments may be submitted to finance@cherokeecountyga.gov through April 21, 2026.
