Cherokee Recreation and Parks has set May 24, 2026 as the opening date for the Sequoyah Park splash pad, kicking off the summer aquatic season at the county's most-visited park.
The splash pad underwent a mechanical overhaul this winter, including replacement of the recirculation pump and updated safety surfacing. Admission remains free for all Cherokee County residents.
Hours of operation are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, seven days a week, through Labor Day (September 7, 2026). The splash pad is located adjacent to the Sequoyah Park playground at 2299 Marietta Highway, Canton. Parking is free. Shade pavilions may be reserved through the Cherokee Recreation and Parks online portal.
